Another specimen pulled from Nicole Kolbow's collection, she photographed and screenprinted this butterfly onto a screenprinted background of a succulent plant. She pushed the otherworldly ethereal quality by experimenting with the color pallet.
Its interesting how the cells in the leaves of the succulent plant emulate the cells in the butterfly wings when you compare them. Two unrelated species have visually similar features.
